InCorp reached out and gave back to the community by volunteering with children with various chronic and life-threatening illnesses and partnered with Club Rainbow (Singapore) as part of this year’s Corporate Social Responsibility project. The company decided to do a Carnival event for the children, whereby employees can interact and play with the children. Various games and activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, sand art, and bouncy castle were set up for the children to enjoy themselves, with prizes. Goodies bags were also distributed to the children by employees as a form of appreciation for their participation.
It was a team-building activity as well for our employees as different departments worked together to plan and execute the event which gave them the opportunity to bond together and know each other better. In addition to the Carnival for the children, InCorp also raised funds for Club Rainbow (Singapore) by doing a Flea Market and all the proceeds were donated to Club Rainbow. The Flea Market was also opened to the employees, families, and friends. There were 17 booths selling merchandises ranging from clothing, food, drinks, and games. Each booth was manned and sold by InCorp employees themselves. Few of them had even baked at home to raise funds, while few made homemade products to sell on that day. Employees, friends, and families purchased coupons to participate in the flea market.
60 children from Club Rainbow (Singapore) turned up with their parents and siblings. They enjoyed a fun-filled day with exciting activities such as carnival games, bouncy castles, sand art, face painting, balloon twisting, magic show as well as yummy foods from the flea market! The highlight of the event was when our CEO Mr. Atin Bhutani presented the cheque to the Deputy Executive Director of Club Rainbow (Singapore), Mr. Teo Siang Loong. In turn, Mr. Teo presented an artwork done by one of their beneficiaries.
The children’s smiles and laughter made all our efforts fruitful.
About Club Rainbow (Singapore):
The history of Club Rainbow (Singapore) dates back to 1991 when the Rotaract Clubs of Singapore came together to organise a special camp for children with various chronic and life-threatening illnesses. One of the unique features set off Camp Rainbow was the individual attention paid to the health and well-being of each little camper. Each child was paired with an adult Befriender throughout the duration of this residential camp.
Following the success of this camp, a special charity dedicated to helping such children and their families was set up in 1992 called “Club Rainbow (Singapore).” where they provide emotional, informational, educational, social and financial support to families and children.
Over the years the charity has grown. It now helps more than 1,000 families and offers a vibrant array of free services. This includes personalised counselling, group sharing sessions, social activities, tuition and financial assistance when necessary.
Today, Club Rainbow (Singapore) takes on a holistic approach to conduct numerous events and programmes for their beneficiaries; ensuring psychosocial, financial, educational, informational and social support.
